About the project

For the Korean Cultural Centre in Paris,

I imagined a sensitive and immersive exhibition in which visitors encounter Korea through the testimony of people who have been there.

This project started with questions around the carbon impact and the social exclusivity of going abroad. It ended being  a substantial work in terms of interviews, relationships and building human trust.

Paris, France

2021-2023

This exhibition project explored the tradition of korean hanji lanterns, its craftsmanship, and its symbolics.

At the occasion of the Yeondeunghoe, every Korean is invited to carry a lantern of a shape representing their hope, their job, their ambitions, or their belonging.

At the end of the exhibition, visitors were invited to deliver their own recalls of Korea, or their own hopes for the future, to a secrets lantern.
